Nautilus Award WinnerBaltimore, MD (August 2020) –Disrupting the Status Quo of Senior Living: A Mindshift (Health Professions Press/AARP), by Jill Vitale-Aussem, is a winner of a 2019 Nautilus Book Award. The book, which confronts the biases of ageism and the ways in which they influence every area of senior living, makes the case for a radical shift in thinking around senior living communities to create vibrant cultures of possibility and growth for elders.

Written by Jill Vitale-Aussem, president and CEO of The Eden Alternative, and co-published with AARP, Mindshift received a Silver Award in the Social Change and Social Justice category. The Nautilus Book Awards recognize, promote, and celebrate books that support conscious living and sustainability, high-level health and wellness, spiritual growth, and positive social change and social justice.
