Essential Resource On Preventing Resident-To-Resident Incidents In Long-Term Care Wins Award In 2022 National Mature Media Awards Program

Baltimore, MD (September 2022) — Eilon Caspi, Ph.D., was a winner in the 31st annual National Mature Media Awards Program. The program, presented by the Mature Market Resource Center, a national clearinghouse for the senior market, recognizes the nation’s finest marketing, communications, educational materials, and programs designed and produced for older adults.

Caspi’s book, Understanding and Preventing Harmful Interactions Between Residents with Dementia, received a Silver Award for Publications/Editorial Media (National). The book provides the first care standard for recognizing, intervening, and preventing distressing and harmful resident-to-resident interactions in long-term care—incidents which commonly lead to serious distress or injury, sometimes even death.

“We were delighted to take part yet again in the Mature Media Awards Program this year,” says Mary Magnus, Director of Publications for Health Professions Press, the publisher of Caspi’s book. “We’re honored that this critical resource was selected as a winner. Eilon’s book is so important, as it teaches professional care providers ways to avoid one of the most difficult and tragic problems to occur in care settings.”

The entries were judged by a distinguished panel of mature market experts from across the United States for overall excellence of design, content, creativity and relevance to the senior market.
