Training – How it Works
Health Professions Press offers training and professional development programs that can be customized to meet the needs of your organization. With HPP training, you will be learning from the absolute best—our authors and expert trainers are among the most forward-thinking leaders of the healthcare field. Our staff will work with you to meet your training needs.
Training—How It Works
- You host the training
- Experienced speakers, HPP authors, and trainers come to you!
- Training is customized for your needs
- Participants will learn effective practices for long-term care settings, new activity programs, or skills to help them utilize proven management strategies
You determine the venue for the training and the professional development priorities for the participants.
After you contact HPP (firstname.lastname@example.org) about arranging the training, we share your request with the author and make recommendations that will help you meet the needs of your staff. HPP then coordinates with the author’s schedule to find a date that works for both of you. (Please note that we cannot guarantee an author’s availability on a specific date, so be sure to plan your trainings well in advance.)
HPP authors develop their trainings directly around the content of their books, the research behind their work, and their experiences in the field.
Trainings and seminars can range from a few hours to a few days, depending on the subject and the needs of your staff.
The training fees vary depending on the subject, the length of the training, and the number of participants. The total cost for your organization will include the speaker fee, agent fee, and travel expenses, as well as the cost of any books purchased in conjunction with the training. Special discounts apply to books ordered in connection with a training.
