Berit Ingersoll-Dayton, M.S.W., Ph.D.

Berit Ingersoll-Dayton, M.S.W., M.A., Ph.D., is Professor of Social Work at the University of Michigan where she is co-director of a National Institute on Aging training grant and coordinator of the Specialist in Aging Certificate. In addition, she conducts psychotherapy for individuals and couples at Turner Geriatric Clinic. Her clinical interests include reminiscence, intergenerational family therapy, and services for employed caregivers. Dr. Ingersoll-Dayton has published numerous articles and book chapters on the family in later life and is coauthor of the book Balancing Work and Caregiving for Children, Adults, and Elders.

Ruth Campbell, M.S.W.

Ruth Campbell, M.S.W., is Associate Director for Social Work and Community Programs for the Turner Geriatric Clinic, University of Michigan Geriatrics Center. She is also an adjunct professor at the University of Michigan School of Social Work and a research associate at the University of Michigan Institute of Gerontology. Ms. Campbell has written articles and book chapters on peer counseling, writing groups, and long-term care. She also has authored numerous publications on aging and caregiving in Japan as well as cross-cultural comparisons between the United States and Japan.
