Lorin A. Baumhover, Ph.D.

Lorin A. Baumhover, Ph.D., is Professor of Behavioral and Community Medicine and Director of the Center for the Study of Aging in the College of Community Health Sciences at the University of Alabama. An active researcher, Dr. Baumhover has been principal investigator for approximately 15 externally funded research grants and more than 20 externally funded training and technical assistance programs. He has published extensively in the areas of elder abuse, Alzheimer’s disease, and gerontology education.

S. Colleen Beall, M.S.W., Dr.P.H.

S. Colleen Beall, M.S.W., Dr.P.H., is Assistant Professor in the Department of Family Medicine at the University of Alabama. She began to work in the area of elder abuse in 1986 as a research associate at the Center for the Study of Aging, and she continues to work collaboratively with the Center on a number of research and training projects. Additionally, she coordinates educational programs in gerontology at the University of Alabama.
