> Seminar Description

|
Therapeutic Thematic Arts Programming is a structured Multimodal approach to therapy, specifically effective with individuals with Alzheimer's disease. Three studies to date have shown significant correlations to enhanced cognition and psychosocial wellbeing. It utilizes standard art/recreation activities and frames the activities within a therapeutic group themed approach. This technique can then be employed by professionals in differing ways depending on their field of study (e.g. education, teachers, administrators, nursing, social work, creative arts therapy, therapeutic recreation) to assist in therapeutic goal setting, and facilitate effective documentation.
