> Seminar Description

Embrace The Caring Spirit approach to eldercare! Designed especially for family members and other informal caregivers, this seminar teaches participants new ways to connect with elders and effective approaches to caring for themselves. Based on extensive research by scholars, management professionals, and theologians from around the world, The Caring Spirit approach applies universal spiritual and ethical values, such as compassion, honesty, respect, and integrity. Caregivers will learn to encourage “spirit” in the lives of the elders for whom they care, as well as recognize the importance of nurturing their own spirits.

Using exercises, in-depth discussions, and hands-on activities, participants will learn to:

  • weave spiritual values into care
  • communicate on a personal level
  • cope with stress
  • deal with grief and loss

> Bonus!

Seminars for professional caregivers are available as well! Hold The Caring Spirit™ training for the staff at your facility. Nancy Kriseman will help staff members to cope effectively with job stress, value the work they do, and apply spiritual values to caring.
