> Seminar Description

Prepare the staff of your nursing home, assisted living facility, or home health agency to recognize and address foot problems associated with aging and chronic diseases. With 45 years of clinical experience, Dr. Helfand teaches participants the importance of preventive foot care and early recognition of problems.

Through lecture, discussion, and a review of clinical slides demonstrating common foot conditions, participants gain

  • an understanding of how the foot is affected by aging and various medical conditions, including diabetes and peripheral vascular disease
  • the ability to recognize common foot problems
  • the skills to assess the foot health of older adults

This detailed seminar will leave participants prepared to implement an overall foot health program for the older adults in their care.

> Bonus!

These speakers also offer a seminar on addressing the needs of people with early memory loss.
