Linda Levine
Madori, Ph.D., CTRS, ATR-BC, LCAT, has been awarded two Fulbright Scholarships'
in 2007 & 2009 for her national and international teaching, researching
and developing an innovative and proven effective Art/ Recreation intervention
titled; Therapeutic Thematic Arts Programming for Older Adults (The
TTAP Method). The TTAP Method builds its foundation on 3 bodies
of knowledge, neurosciences, developmental psychology and the learning
theories. Providing the reader with detailed information on how the 9-step
structured programming is designed to stimulate specific brain regions
through thematic and person centered approach.
She has completed three clinical studies researching the effects of the
TTAP Method on those individuals diagnosed with both mild and moderate
stages of Alzheimer 's disease, and findings prove positive and significant
correlations to increased cognition and psychosocial well-being. The findings
have been published and presented in numerous peer reviewed journals.
Currently Linda has completed the Certification Course in the TTAP Method
and is offering this two day, 14 hour course which has been approved for
ceu's. Linda is a licensed and board certified Art Therapist and is certified
nationally as a Recreation Therapist. Receiving her Ph. D. from NYU in
Health Studies, she went on to publish her findings in her second book
titled; The Cognitive and Psychosocial effects of Therapeutic Recreation
in those diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease. The TTAP Method is
now being taught in New Zealand, Australia, Canada, and Finland.
