Yes. We take the utmost care with the information you provide when you place an order on our web site (or by any other means!). The server that hosts our shopping cart encrypts the transmission of all credit card and personal customer information using the Internet-standard SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) protocol, from end to end. (When you're on a secure page, the lock icon at the bottom of Netscape Navigator and Internet Explorer will be locked.) To view your cart, look to the top right of your screen. Click on the "shopping cart" button to display your cart. Once you view your cart, you can delete items, change quantities, and move to the checkout process. How do I add items to my cart? First look up the books you'd like to purchase in our search engine, or browse our books by subject. On each book's page, there is an "add to my cart" button you click to add that title to your cart. How do I remove items from my cart? First, view your cart. Check the box next to the item you wish to delete from your cart. Then select the "delete item" button at the bottom of the page. When the cart refreshes, the item you selected will have been deleted, and the new subtotal will appear. How do I change item quantity? First, view your cart. Change the number in the box (fourth column) next to the item you wish to adjust. Then select the "change quantity" button at the bottom of the page. When the cart refreshes, the quantity of the item will have been adjusted, and the new subtotal will appear. When you are ready to checkout, view your cart. Then select the "checkout" button at the bottom of the page. Now, you'll be transferred to the secure server (check the lock icon on your web browser) and will be prompted to select a shipping method and a payment method. From there, you'll be taken to a form that will list your final total. How will I know you received my order? After you submit your order, a receipt will appear on screen detailing your final order, the shipping address, the titles in your shipment. Please print this receipt for your reference. You will also receive confirmation via e-mail that we have received your order. (Please make sure you enter your e-mail address correctly on the order form.) |
